Singapore Conventions

Late this year, there will be a couple of conventions the husband and I would love to go to, but are still unsure if we’ll be able to make it.

On November, the third Anime Festival Asia (13/14 Nov).

And on December, the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention, 2010 (10 -12 Dec).

If we will be going, we can only choose one though. But if we really want to, we’ll be able fly out like last time right? We’ll see.

Local LEGO Specialty Shop

Walking around Trinoma a couple of days ago, we passed by a board-up for a new upcoming store. Turns out local specialty shop, Hobbes and Landes, will be opening up a LEGO store right there. That’s what I gathered from the graphic on the board up (stacked LEGO bricks) and an actual LEGO display.

My heart almost skipped a beat. A local LEGO store! Be still my heart.

The husband said, it has been there for a while already. But I told him it was the first time I’ve seen it. This is still great news! This will mean access to more different kinds of LEGO, LEGO accessories, as well as those blind packaged singles— or even the possibility of buying just certain piece off a set! Like what we saw from the LEGO store in Singapore. Unless H&L already does that, I haven’t been to their flagship store at The Fort yet.

I can’t wait! I also wonder if they’ll be able to install the Interactive Kiosk already too.

More info one the LEGO augmented reality kiosk systems here.

So yeah, I still have toys. And yes, am still obssessed about pinkys and LEGO, and model kits— Despite my plans on budgeting, I still have at least one new toy every month since I last posted. I just haven’t blogged about it.

Work and life really tend to get in the way, but hey, here I am again.

As to make up for it, here is a view of my work desk with all the new and relatively new toys I got this year.
